Do you like working with satellite data and GIS? Do you want to contribute to the development of advanced Earth observation solutions? If so, we want you on our team!At World from Space, we are creating software, services and analysis based on satellite data. We propose an optimization of urban green infrastructure in Copenhagen and Lisbon, we monitor ecosystem services and climate vulnerability of naturally protected sites or optimize fertilizing and precision farming activities. We develop advanced AI applications for the assessment and forecasting of various environmental parameters. We are also involved in building the Czech national satellite AMBIC and its data processing chain.
We collaborate with software companies, research institutions, environmental consultants, and organizations like the European Space Agency (ESA) or the European Union Agency for the Space Programme (EUSPA).
We are currently seeking an individual with a technical background in EO and GIS, potentially with experience in project management or business development. We expect you to have good communication skills and be unafraid to invent solutions or ask for help when needed. As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and operating systems based on satellite and geospatial data.
This will keep you busy:
* Supporting the design, development, and validation of algorithms for satellite data processing and analysis.
* Designing technical solutions and writing proposals and methodologies for various satellite data applications.
* Leading projects, cooperation with customers, prime contractors, and subcontractors.

Qualifications we need from you
* EU Work permit / citizenship
* English C1, and additional languages are a plus
* Education in a field related to Earth observation, GIS, or a related discipline is preferred, but not necessary.
* Knowledge of satellite remote sensing (optical and SAR), familiarity with GIS technology and applications, and experience in developing algorithms for satellite data processing.
* Strong technical and analytical capabilities. Ability to write high-quality technical documentation. Ability to manage multiple tasks and set priorities effectively. Teamwork skills. Proactive approach to identifying and solving problems.
* Nice to have: Machine learning experience. Proficiency in data science tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL, Matlab). Experience with Sentinel data processing. Project management experience.
