We develop a platform for Video Relay Service and Video Remote Interpreting. Thanks to it, Deaf people have immediate access to sign language interpreters. They can communicate with institutions, call a doctor, a bank or a friend, and have a regular phone conversation in much the same way hearing people do. National services in 10 countries run on the platform today, and more are on the way. Next year more than 200,000 interpreting sessions will run through it. That is why we are looking for a student who wants to start a career in testing and AI and help us keep the platform reliable as it grows.THE ROLE
You will test the whole platform: the web app, the admin dashboard, and the iOS and Android apps. Today we test mostly by hand. With you, we want to start building automated tests with AI, step by step, until the checks we repeat before every release run on their own and people spend their time where human judgement matters.
Testing gives you a view of the product that few people in the team have. You will know every screen, every flow and every place where a Deaf user or an interpreter gets stuck. We want to put that knowledge to work. You will be responsible for gathering context about the product, how it works, how people use it and what they struggle with, and for putting it into our AI tools in a form they can use. The better the AI understands the product from the user's side, the better it helps us suggest new features and design them. That makes you part of how we bring AI into product development at Deafcom.
The position is Tester, and it is strongly AI-oriented. Testing comes first. If the cooperation works well, the role can grow over time into an AI implementation role within our product management.
We are looking for a student or person who wants to start a career in this field, work on interesting things and have a direct, immediate impact on a product that matters and on the process behind it. At the start we will work on it side by side with you. You do not need to be a programmer. With AI on your side you can automate, and we will teach you what you do not know.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
* Test the whole platform end to end: web app, admin dashboard, iOS and Android, including live video sessions and phone call flows
* Write structured test scenarios and report bugs so clearly that a developer can reproduce them in minutes
* Start building automated tests with AI, and turn the manual checks we repeat before every release into automated ones
* Build and keep up to date the product context our AI tools work from: how each flow works, who uses it and where users get stuck
* Use that context with AI to suggest new features and early designs, and bring them to the product team
* Help us choose the AI tools and ways of working that fit our testing and product work
* Over time, own the automated regression for each country before releases
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
* You are a student or a person who want to start career in testing, AI or product
* You already use AI every day for more than quick questions, and you have tried to build something with it
* You are curious about how things work and how they break, and you notice details other people miss
* You can describe a problem in writing so that another person can act on it
* Responsibility and independence. You take a task, ask when something is unclear, and deliver it
* English at a communicative level, written and spoken
A plus, but not a must:
* Studying informatics, software engineering or a similar technical field
* Basic programming or scripting
* Experience with test automation tools such as Playwright, Maestro or Appium
* Interest in product management or UX design
