AI Prompt Engineer (Codebase Modernization & Microservices)

We have a massive, battle-tested legacy codebase written in PHP and Python. It has served us well, but it’s time for its next evolution. We are decomposing this monolith into a modern, lightning-fast microservices architecture—and we are doing it by leveraging the full power of Generative AI.

We are looking for a hybrid Software Engineer & AI Prompt Engineer who knows how to orchestrate LLMs to refactor, translate, and modularize complex code safely and at scale. This isn't about just typing queries into ChatGPT; it’s about building automated AI pipelines that write clean, production-ready microservices.

What You Will Do

* Architect AI Pipelines: Design, test, and optimize advanced prompt workflows and agentic chains (using frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, or LangGraph) to automate code translation.
* Deconstruct the Monolith: Analyze existing PHP/Python codebases and guide LLMs to split them into clean, decoupled microservices.
* Build AI Guardrails: Develop automated testing and validation pipelines to ensure AI-generated code is secure, idiomatic, and bug-free.
* Collaborate with Architects: Work closely with our senior backend engineers to define target architectures, API contracts, and data schemas.
* Benchmark & Iterate: Continuously evaluate different LLMs (GPT-4o, Claude 3.5 Sonnet, DeepSeek, etc.) to find the best tool for specific refactoring tasks.

What We Are Looking For

* Strong Software Engineering Foundation: You need to understand what good code looks like. Professional experience with Python is a must; familiarity with PHP (to read and understand the legacy code) is a huge plus.
* Deep LLM & Prompting Expertise: Proven experience with advanced prompt engineering techniques (few-shot, Chain-of-Thought, program-aided language models) and building AI-driven agent workflows.
* Microservices Mindset: Solid understanding of microservices design patterns, REST/gRPC APIs, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
* The "Hacker" Spirit: You love pushing the boundaries of what AI can do, but you also know when to step in and write code manually because "the robot is hallucinating."
